Heather Marie Alcott is an accomplished leader in systems training, healthcare innovation, and adult learning with over 20 years of experience spanning clinical operations, digital transformation, and organizational development. As Director of Training & Development at Decision Metrics, she steers the firm’s efforts in capacity building, designing high-impact programs in monitoring & evaluation (M&E), curriculum  & reference guide development, research methods, and information systems that help clients make evidence-based, forward-looking decisions.

 

Most recently, Heather serves as an Implementation Coordinator with the Center for Digital Health (CDH), where she supports enterprise-wide digital transformation initiatives focused on creating curriculum and supporting documents, training and product enablement. In this role, she applies agile methodologies and cross-functional leadership to deliver complex health technology rollouts, streamline product deployment, and foster user adoption across departments.

 

Previously, during her tenure at the Mayo Clinic, Heather held key roles including Associate Operations Analyst, Electronic Health Record (EHR) Support Analyst, and Epic Credentialed Trainer. She has led provider training for major enterprise projects like the Plummer Project, onboarded cross-disciplinary teams, implemented project management systems, and served on the Clinical Informatics Governance Council – driving education and change management at scale.

 

Heather earned her MBA from Concordia University, St. Paul, and holds a Bachelor’s in Business Administration from the University of the People. She also holds certifications in Agile Systems for Product Management, Transformational Change from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, and Mayo Clinic’s Silver Quality Fellowship.

 

Blending systems-level thinking with real-world instructional design, Heather is uniquely positioned to lead clients through complex learning and implementation journeys. Her approach combines strategic clarity, technical fluency, and a deep commitment to organizational excellence—making her a key catalyst for impact at Decision Metrics.
